The new Opel Movano, both in the versions with combustion engine such as Movano-e with electric propulsion. Opel's large van has a starting price from 23.600 euros for the entry-level variant with a turbodiesel engine, and from 62.300 euros for the Movano-e, both applying commercial discounts and, in the case of the electric version, also the aids of the Moves III Plan.

Three turbodiesel options, one electric

The combustion engine versions of the Movano are based on the 2,2-litre four-cylinder turbodiesel block, which is offered in three power variants: 120, 140 and 165 hp. In all cases, drive is to the front wheels, through a six-speed manual gearbox.

For self-employed workers, companies or fleets that need a van of this type, the following data is especially interesting: Opel claims to have reduced the cost of ownership, with Up to 20% less on inspections and tires in four years, and more than a 10% reduction in fuel consumption.

Opel Movano-e (2021)

The electric version, The Movano-e uses a 122 hp engine, and there are two battery versions to choose from. The lower capacity 37 kWh battery offers a range of up to 117 km, while the 70 kWh battery offers a range of up to 224 km on a single charge. In both cases, the top speed is limited to 110 km/h.

Opel Movano: four body lengths, up to 1,8 tons of payload

The range of body styles includes panel vans with four lengths ranging from 4,96 metres for the L1 to 6,36 metres for the L4, and three other heights (between 2,25 and 2,76 metres). Load capacities start at 8 cubic metres and can reach 17 cubic metres in the largest versions.

The payload can reach up to 1,8 tonnes, with a loading area that offers lengths between 2,67 and 4,07 metres, 1,42 metres wide between the wheel arches and no less than 1,87 metres between panels. The higher versions (H3) have the largest rear doors in the category., exceeding 2 meters.

As for the cabin, it can have a row of three seats, with room for four more passengers in the case of the double-cab version. There are also chassis-cab, chassis-double-cab or platform-cab variants. In the future, specialized conversions will be offered, such as tippers o motorhomes.

A safe and connected van

As is becoming a trend in new generations of commercial vehicles, the new Opel Movano's comfort and safety equipment possibilities are on a par with those of a passenger car.

Among the assistance systems, the following stands out: automatic safety braking, lane departure warning or rear park pilot to assist with parking manoeuvres. Optional equipment includes a towbar, alarm, rear-view camera or blind spot warning system.
